in the Land of Promise" -- David Katz David Katz was raised in an American Jewish family and emigrated to Israel in 1992. He is now the assistant director of "Sar-El Tours," the only tourist agency in Israel run by Messianic Jews (Jewish believers in Jesus Christ). While traveling in Japan, Katz spoke at the recent "Israel Week" meetings in Osaka. In this program we bring you some highlights from that meeting. |

Land" -- Masako Tokumitsu The proprietress of the restaurant that hosted the meeting where the foundations of the Meiji Constitution was laid is our guest on this program. To celebrate the 170th year since the restaurant's opening, owner-operator Masako Tokumitsu organized an event called "Israel Week." During the event, an Israel Art Exhibition opened, featuring oils painted by Ms. Tokumitsu and some works of other artists. We'll talk with her about what thoughts motivated her to paint scenes from the Holy Land, and also what it's like to be the proprietress of a Japanese restaurant with a long tradition. |

& Keiko Nakamura Today's guest was one of the narrators featured on the "Stories of Love on the Wind" CD. Mari Kawakami grew up in an affluent family, but afterwards traveled a path with plenty of ups and downs. Her pursuit of money, love, and other goals left her with little but disappointment. Just as she was losing the will to live, however, she remembered the Bible that she had read long ago. How was it that she found the strength to go on? Keiko Nakamura, a fellow narrator who observed these changes going on in Kawakami's life, joins us for the discussion. |

Iohara lives with a handicap that makes her bones brittle enough to break if subjected to the slightest shock. Since childhood, she had successfully taken on numerous challenges, but, in the end, it only left her with an empty heart. Then, she discovered something at a church.
